Well, it’s almost the end of the summer now and the two of us shouldn’t have too many super hot afternoons left this year.
Our air conditioner did a great job on cooling our home this year, right up until the last week or so.
I’m not sure what undoubtedly happened, but all of a sudden, the central air conditioner stopped cooling the home off and our home was stuffy and uncomfortable. The weather around here is unpredictable at best. Both of us live by one of the fantastic lakes and you never guess what the outside temperature is going to be from one day to the next. Both of us knew that it was a gamble to try and leave the air conditioner broken throughout the end of the summer and the fall because options were that we were going to need to run the air conditioner at least a few times. But then again, we didn’t undoubtedly want to spend all of that money on a fancy air conditioner repair bill at the end of the hot season. My husband decided that the best thing to do would be to try and repair the air conditioner himself. I thought that this was a poor idea, because I have seen his condo improvement projects in the past and they don’t usually end well, but anyway, he started messing around with the air conditioner. Needless to say, the cooling plan still isn’t working and I’m afraid that he has done something to the HVAC wiring that’s going to end up burning our home down. I’m calling the local heating and A/C supplier to have them come and check everything out for us. I should have undoubtedly just done that in the first place!
