The residence that I am renting doesn’t have an A/C machine.
I asked our landlord when I went to sign the lease if it had A/C, and he told me that the residence did come with an A/C machine.
I should have asked him to clarify because what he meant by the A/C machine was not what I was thinking. I meant to ask if the residence had central A/C. I didn’t ask about central A/C though. I just asked about the A/C machine in general. It is absolutely my fault, but I was quite upset to find that the residence had one window A/C machine and that was it. It didn’t have any central A/C in the least. I was so frustrated that I am pretty sure I cried for a period of time. I didn’t understand why he would lie to me, but I realized that he truly didn’t lie to me. I was the one who wasn’t genuinely clear with my question about the A/C machine. I have absolutely come to learn from this mistake. I will ask about central A/C next time. The sad thing is, the one A/C machine doesn’t work very well. I thought that it would function well, but it takes a number of hours to cool the family room and the two rooms hooked up to the family room. I regret renting this residence because of the lack of central A/C, but it is too late to go back now. I will have to be in this residence for the next year without central A/C.
