Temperatures can get pretty tropical during the summer months.
Here where I live, the temperatures are sizzling and humidity is always high. There is no amount of comfort when the heat and humidity is this high, unless you have a good air conditioning unit. Unfortunately, the air conditioning doesn’t work very well when the humidity is so high. The air is heavy, which makes it hard to cool. What is needed is a good dehumidifier. The dehumidifier pulls the moisture from the air. The air cycles and pushes the moisture into the evaporator coils. The air that comes out of the dehumidifier is less moist, lighter, and easier to cool. The best purchase I ever made for my home was when I bought a good dehumidifier to go with my air conditioning unit. Air conditioning units made for the southeast, already have dehumidification, but sometimes it needs some help. Without it, you have higher energy bills, and more possibility of mold and mildew. Since having the dehumidifier installed, our energy bills have dropped by almost 30%. Our air is lighter and cooler and our air conditioning unit isn’t working as hard. Our thermostat is set at a higher temperature and we feel cooler. If anyone asks me why my home feels so much cooler without feeling so damp, I tell them about my dehumidifier. I then suggest the dehumidifier to anyone who asks. I’m telling you that without my dehumidifier, I would be miserable. It is the best thing we have ever had installed. It saves us money and makes us feel happier in our home.
