My wife and I are going to have new ductwork installed into our home.
They told us they would be installing the ductwork throughout the house. It is going to be in the attic, the basement, and in the walls. Our ductwork is almost forty years old, and it is beginning to rust and disintegrate. We both suffer allergies, and we needed to have the ductwork cleaned. When they told us it wasn’t worth cleaning and so bad that the ductwork needed to be replaced, we knew we had a problem. The new ductwork is going to be cleaner and better for our allergies. We decided that when our ductwork is replaced, we would also have an air purification system installed. The air purifier will help to keep our home free of viruses, germs, bacteria, mold and mildew. There will be HEPA air filters in the air purifier. The HEPA air filter has smaller media so it will help to stop the smaller particles from getting into the air. Our air quality will be so much better. Now, we have an even bigger problem. We need to clean out the attic. I don’t think we have touched anything up there, for at least ten years. We are both putting it off because it will be terribly dusty up there. I guess we’re going to need to wear masks with air filters so we can breathe. I’m sure the trash man won’t be happy when he sees all the junk we’ve had stored for so many years. We just need to get the mindset and head to the attic and clean so they can put the ductwork up there.
