One of the most popular items I see flying out our doors are smart thermostats, but dial thermostats were what I grew up using, then all the people switched to the digital thermostats. Well, now it seems that the digital thermostat’s day has come plus gone. The smart thermostats are programmable thermostats that a person can sync with their smartphone. I swear all of this technology is “smarter” than I am. The smart thermostat allows them to control their house temperature even when they’re not there. You can also have a smart thermostat think when you’ve arrived house plus immediately kick on the oil furnace or a/c when you walk in the door! It sounds a little creepy to myself and others (kind of prefer large brother is seeing you through your Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system) but all of the younger house shoppers truly seem to prefer it. I’m not complaining; in fact, I have a smart thermostat plan at our house. I guess I was actually a little more skeptical when the smart thermostats hit the market. Now, I’m just slightly skeptical.
