I’ve only been an HVAC business for about numerous weeks.
Only recently, have I been allowed to work on our own.
Of course, because I’m the newest member of the team, I’m stuck doing night shifts… It was while I was in 1 of these shifts that I got an interesting call, however an older gentleman called me & said that his wife’s pet rabbit had escaped & it was in the HVAC vents… He needed me to come & get the rabbit out before his wife got apartment from her retreat, in the afternoon. I rushed over & found that the client had their HVAC vents located on the floor of their home, then the HVAC duct runs underneath their house. If we were quiet, we could hear thumping & scampering in the HVAC duct. The man showed me where the rabbit had gotten through 1 of the uncovered vent. I crawled underneath the apartment & started taking the HVAC duct apart near where I suppose the rabbit to be. Of course, the rabbit kept moving so I kept having to move odd HVAC duct to find it! Finally, I was able to capture the little rabbit & return it to his undoubtedly cheerful owner. The rabbit was promptly put back in his cage & I put the HVAC duct back together. Then I covered the vent with a up-to-date grate so that the rabbit could not get down into the HVAC duct again. I left the man with a cleaner HVAC duct system that is also sealed now. he told me he won’t be telling his wife about her rabbits escape & he paid the entire bill upfront & asked me not to send him anything further. He told me if there were any additional charges, to just give him a call.
