Commercial AC breaks down, boss gets window unit

These days I am growing increasingly exhausted with the battle between business owners and lower-level employees.

I think we are all a bit baffled by the fact that the lowest paid workers in the country have been holding life together for all of us in the past few months.

It makes no sense that they are expected to put their lives on the line to make minimum wage. If anything, this seems like definitive proof that something needs to change in the way we have been doing things. I can tell you, even as an office worker I have been pretty upset with the way that management treats us. Everything down to the indoor air quality is subpar. Most recently, this came to mind because of a massive commercial air conditioning failure that we had at work. Normally, our large production space is temperature controlled by a huge cooling system on the roof. The commercial air handling device weighs several tons and it costs a lot of money to operate the huge AC unit. I’m sure it also costs a lot of money to hire Commercial heating and cooling workers to perform routine maintenance services on the AC system. That being said, I don’t think my boss has a leg to stand on when he neglects to take care of the air quality control device. The commercial cooling system broke down about a month ago and he did not want to pay for the professional HVAC repair. Rather than having the AC system maintained or replaced, he presented us with a simple AC window unit in the office and went back to the comfort of his fancy home.
