This year has been horrible but good a/c makes it easier

I guess that the year all of us are having is the absolute pits. We’re dealing with a deadly pandemic which is tearing a deadly path across the whole globe. This has left myself and others inside the heating and A/C of our home for nearly all our waking seconds. My contractor had been considering remote employment for several years. The method of being able to cut the overhead for our contractor was a main driver. They thought that most of us could work from home and they could have a much smaller office as well. It made enjoyable sense prior to the outbreak of the pandemic. But once the lot of us were all now working from home in the heating and A/C comfort of our houses, the contractor was quick to make this permanent. Since I am now in our home nearly all the time, it got me and others thinking about the heating and A/C. I assume I have sort of always taken the heating and cooling method in our home for granted. It got me and others to think about how difficult this situation would be if both of us didn’t have the heating and A/C to count on. I guess that for our area, getting through the summer season without heating and A/C would be horrible. The heat during the hot summer can be quite intense. I started to assume about how hard they did it some 71 or 73 years ago. I would imagine that shade would have been quite overpriced for most people. I guess our Grandparents had a swamp cooler and fans when our dad was growing up. He does not have fond memories from then. So, I try to remember that even though our situation is tough, at least having good heating and A/C makes it that much easier to deal with.
