People have the general impression that portable heating and air conditioning products are the greatest thing and that they will save you all kinds of money on energy use, etc.
While most of that is one hundred and ten percent true, you have to know what you are shopping for in terms of portable heating and air conditioning products. Just because it’s portable does not always mean it is great. The cheaper portable heating and air conditioning products can be really bad and not even work in heating or cooling a room in your home. For instance, I bought this portable space heater that was dirt cheap at my local hardware store. This was a huge mistake! I thought I was making out so great with the super cheap price I paid for it. However, the thing didn’t even work right! When you would put on the portable space heater it would barely heat a small radius in the room! I am not kidding when I tell you these things! You would have to walk right next to the space heater to feel any of the heating it was putting out. The rest of the room was freezing cold as if no heater were running. This is just one example of how portable heating and air conditioning products are not always so great. Pretty much, the less you pay (unless they are on sale), the lower grade product you are going to have. And in my humble and honest opinion, that is nothing but a waste of good money!
