Ductwork came apart while in earthquake

This will help our air duct toil more efficiently.

There was a pretty big earthquake a few miles from my home the other night, and my family and I woke up to the home rolling and bucking, you know, normal behavior for this area, both of us assume the people I was with and I live in earthquake country so the people I was with and I keep everything secured. As a result, I don’t assume the people I was with and I broke anything while in the earthquake, but well, at least I did not assume anything broke. But then I noticed that the air conditioner is not working in about half of the house… It’s working fairly well in the kitchen, dining room, and my son’s room, and however, it’s not working in the bathrooms, the master home office, or my daughter’s room. I was pretty sure that this meant there was something wrong with our air duct, but perhaps something came apart while in the earthquake. I am way too big to crawl up into the attic and check it out so I called up an HVAC contractor to come out and take a look for us, however they came out the following morning and explained that the air duct did in fact come apart while in the earthquake. They put it back together and now they are doing a whole air duct sealing. This will help our air duct toil more efficiently. The HVAC professionals also told me that sometimes when this happens, it’s because the home is no longer level. However, they did check the home and said it appears to be level to them; Of course, they aren’t professionals in that capacity however they did use their levels. But now I am nervous. I might have to hire someone to come out who can certainly tell us if our home is still level.
