Ductwork came apart during earthquake

This will help our air duct labor more efficiently.

There was a pretty immense earthquake a few miles from our house the other evening, and my family and I woke up to the house rolling and bucking! You know, normal behavior for this area, however both of us guess we live in earthquake country so we keep everything secured! As a result, I don’t know we broke anything during the earthquake, well, at least I did not know anything broke. But after that I noticed that the a/c is not working in about half of the house, it’s working fairly well in the home office, residing room, and our son’s room, and however, it’s not working in the bathrooms, the master kitchen, or our daughter’s room. I was pretty sure that this meant there was something wrong with our air duct, then perhaps something came apart during the earthquake. I’m way too immense to crawl up into the attic and check it out so I called up an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business to come out and take a look for us! They came out the following day and explained that the air duct did in fact come apart during the earthquake. They put it back together and now they are doing a whole air duct sealing. This will help our air duct labor more efficiently. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialists also told myself and others that occasionally when this happens, it’s because the house is no longer level. However, they did check the house and said it appears to be level to them, then of course, they aren’t professionals in that capacity however they did use their levels. But now I’m concerned. I might have to hire someone to come out who can unquestionably tell us if our house is still level.
