The day that I bought a beautiful boat with a really nice climate control system, I thought I was making the best purchase in the world.
When I told my wife about it, she was really thrilled about it too.
We both were making plans about sailing the seas and having a grand old time. So we decided to go on this little sea journey to break in the boat. We were just going out to sea to do a little fishing, and then we would make our way back. We were having a good time and it was nice being able to relax with the A/C system cranked up on a hot day. The problem is, we weren’t paying attention to the weather. I didn’t realize there was a problem until I heard a warning on the radio about the incoming storm. It said that all boats out there had to head to shore immediately. When my wife and I heard about the storm, we panicked. We got all our things together and then we started back for the shore. We were out there quite a ways though and we suddenly realized it was too late. The storm came upon us and we were being tossed back and forth by huge waves. I actually called on the radio for help while screaming “May day!” I got a hold of the coast guard and I was able to give them our position. While we were in the midst of the storm and I thought the boat was going to sink, the helicopter came and spotted us. My wife and I were lifted from the boat and taken back to safety. We were so relieved when we were back at home heating up in front of the fireplace.
