For my birthday my partner thought that it would be a good idea to buy a new air conditioning unit for my mancave.
This was something that I had been looking forward to getting for quite a long time, however unfortunately this gift ended up giving me more problems than I expected.
The air conditioning unit that my partner got me was your run of the mill window mounted air conditioning unit, but in order to save a few extra dollars my partner thought it would be better to go with the cheapest option available. While you might think that I would be mad at her for buying a cheap unit instead of investing in something nice it’s actually mostly my fault. For weeks I had been telling her to not spend too much money on me and she had simply listened. She was able to find what seemed to be a great deal online but once the air conditioning unit showed up to our front door step we realized that we had been duped. The material of the air conditioning unit was so cheap and weak that I thought it was a prop at first. Initially we tried to send the piece of junk air conditioning unit back to the scammers right away, however after we tried to send the package back we were informed that the return address was invalid. Now we are left with this cheap and nearly unusable air conditioning unit as my birthday present.I think it’s safe to say that those HVAC scammers are enjoying my birthday more than I am.
