It was a scam all along

A couple of weeks ago while I was going through my normal routine of sipping on my coffee on the porch and going through the new emails on my phone.

Most of the time these emails consist of only work related things, however on that particular day I noticed that there was an email that looked to be from one of the local radio stations. According to this email I had been placed in a drawing by one of my friends to have a state of the art air conditioning system installed into my house for free. From what I could tell the email was legit, and at the time I really had been needing a new A/C for my house since the summer season is right around the corner. The only thing that I needed to do in order to become eligible to have this air conditioning unit installed was to send the radio company a small $100 dollar fee for what they described as labor and tax fees. Considering the fact that I would be getting a piece of HVAC gear worth nearly ten thousands dollars I was completely fine with paying this money. Well, a few days went by, and then a few weeks went by, and little by little I started to realize that there wasn’t any air conditioning unit coming to my home. After doing a little research on the web I learned that this was a new scam going around targeting young homeowners like myself who more than likely have HVAC problems. With how bold these scammers seem to be hopefully they get brought to justice soon. In the meantime I will need to pick myself up from this disappointment and find a solution to my HVAC problems.
