When my siblings plus I were growing up, all of us spent a lot of time with our Grandparents, however our mom plus dad worked full-time tasks plus all of us spent almost every day with my grandma and grandpa, however they had a entirely nice fireplace in the living room with a brick and concrete mantel, my siblings plus I always sat in the living room plus Gram would read us a bedtime story! I loved the sound of the crackling fire plus the fireplace provided an ample amount of heat, but as I got older, I started to dream about our first house.
I already knew that I wanted a fireplace. The first time I purchased a house, I made it my number one mission. In all honesty, I did not consider any homes at all unless they had a fireplace in the main living area. I ended up stuck in a lake house that was less than ideal, just because it had a fireplace close to my Grandparents house, and when our partner plus I got married, all of us purchased a much bigger house. I still wanted a fireplace, but this time all of us saw those for an electric system in the master family room. Both of us purchased an electric fireplace that sits nicely in the corner of the room. It has a shelf for pictures and mixes rather nicely with the rest of the room decor. It looks like it was built into the wall. The electric fireplace still gives off plenty of heat, but it requires a lot less work than a traditional fireplace. In this stressed world, I will settle for function and versatility above tradition.
