Needing A/C

One morning in the middle of summer I woke up in a puddle of sweat. Normally my home air conditioner runs at 72 degrees and when I checked the thermostat it read 78 degrees. I checked the batteries to make sure they had not stopped working properly and even put new ones in. I put a call in to the local HVAC company and explained the situation and the tech informed me they would send someone out later that afternoon. I quickly jumped in the shower, got dressed, ate a bite of breakfast, and even did some work around the house while waiting on the a/c repair person. By noon a technician arrived and first looked at the thermostat to make sure it wasn’t malfunctioning. Next, he headed outside to check out the outer unit and found the problem. Some of the parts had burnt out and he went straight to work fixing the issue. It really didn’t take him all that long to take care of the situation. I was doing a bit of writing while waiting on him to finish up and soon he informed me that everything should be running properly again. He set the digital display on the thermostat to 72 degrees and within a couple of hours my home was nice and cool again. I finished up my writing and headed out for a bite to eat while my house cooled down to the temperature I enjoy most and even headed out to watch a movie. By the time I arrived home my house was actually cold. Ah! Cold A/C….there is nothing quite like it in the middle of summer in the south!
