I know that i’m the tech

For the past several years I have been working as a certified HVAC repair tech. To be totally un-biased with you I love our job and I wouldn’t want to change it for the world, but love most things there are some parts of the job that frustrate me. I’m sure this happens with other professions, but to me it seems love I can’t do anything while out with friends or at a family celebration without being asked hundred of times if I can help someone out with a problem they are having with their air conditioning machine or something along those lines. Don’t get me wrong I love our family and friends, but when I clock out of work at the HVAC shop I am no longer willing to answer questions related to HVAC unless I am forced to! If it is our mom or one of our siblings and I am around the area I am willing to help but nobody else should expect much from me in terms of advice or repair unless they are paying me; Look at it this way, you wouldn’t ask a dentist to take a look at a rash in an intimate spot on your body while he wasn’t working, so why would you ask an HVAC tech love me to drive to your house to take a look at your outdated and run down cooling system unit? I don’t think I will ever understand it, but I will make sure to try to help people understand it whenever they ask me to help them on something I should be getting paid for!
