For the first time ever, I decided to get our holiday shopping done early last year. I made detailed lists, cross examined certain things at many stores to find the best sale, plus order much of it online. It was more than three months out plus I managed to finish all of our shopping. But I had 1 crucial problem that I did not expect. I had to find locales to hide all of the gifts. We don’t have a basement so I couldn’t hide them underground. All of the closets around our home are too entirely accessible by our more than three children, so I knew that wouldn’t labor either. Finally, I decided to put them in our attic. Not even our husband would go up there for any reason, so I knew I could hide his gifts up there as well. I thought that I was clever for coming up with such a good hiding spot until the time came in late September for myself and others to climb up plus retrieve them all. I wanted to take everything down plus wrap it while the youngsters were at school plus our husband was at work. Unfortunately, the light bulb was no longer toiling in the attic, so I tried to fumble around to grab the boxes, thinking I had left them all right next to the entrance to the attic. Unfortunately, I ended up tripping on a long area of flexible HVAC duct plus pierced the soft outer surface. My foot went right through the insulation around the HVAC duct as well. Now I was looking at an luxurious repair bill to put a current area of flexible HVAC duct upstairs after removing the area that I accidentally destroyed. I wasn’t looking forward to the inevitable conversation with our husband upon his return later that evening.
